Get in the habit of taking a moment before eating to consider how you will feel after a binge versus making healthier choices.

Learn to keep trigger foods out of your refrigerator and your pantry; if they are not there, you will be less likely to eat them. Developing new habits that include thinking about the consequences of your food choices will give you the confidence and power to change.  It’s all about making the right choices on a consistent basis that can improve your health and quality of life!

Learn your trigger foods and avoid them.  Have you ever noticed how certain foods such as processed/junk food, sweets, fried foods, pizza, and alcohol often lead to a domino effect of poor food choices, and binging.  Think of how you will feel later if you end up binging on the trigger foods versus how you will feel after making healthier choices. 

Keep trigger foods out of your refrigerator and your pantry; if they are not there, you will be less likely to eat them.  Learn to think about the consequences of your food choices when you are away from home and eating out.  It’s all about making the right choices!
